How to make speech clearer in a video
If background noise makes a video hard to follow, try a gentle audio enhancement and compare it with the original. FlareClip’s audio enhancer takes a video and offers noise-reduction strength settings. The output remains a video with its picture content preserved; some input formats may require re-encoding.
1. Listen to the original first
Choose a video you own or have permission to process. This entry accepts supported MP4, MOV or WebM videos with an audio track. Play the local preview and note what is distracting: a low hum, steady background noise or uneven loudness. Keep the original file so you can make a fair comparison.
2. Start with gentle noise reduction
Choose Light, Medium or Strong from the available settings. Start with Light, especially when the video includes music. A stronger setting is not automatically better for speech. This workflow processes the mixed soundtrack; it does not provide separate voice, music and ambience tracks.
3. Process, then review the result
Confirm your right to use the material, follow the sign-in and allowance or cost information, then request enhancement. The local preview plays the source; the processed sound is available in the result after the job finishes. Wait for that result before judging the change.
4. Compare the same passage
Listen to the original and result at a similar comfortable playback level. Check quiet words, consonants and sentence endings, not just pauses between speakers. If there is music, listen for unwanted changes to its texture. A louder result is not necessarily clearer. If the voice sounds thin or unnatural, try a lighter setting and compare the new version.
5. Download the version that sounds right
Check the beginning, a middle passage and the ending of the finished video, including picture and sound synchronization. Download the version you have actually reviewed and open the saved file. Do not expect noise reduction to reliably recover words that were missing or badly clipped in the source. Keep the original if the processed version does not help.
